The Charity – The RNIB 

 

RNIB, the Royal National Institute for Blind People, is the UK's leading charity offering information, support and advice to over two million people with sight loss.

 

 Its pioneering work helps anyone with a sight problem - not just with Braille and Talking Books, but with imaginative and practical solutions to everyday challenges. 

 

 RNIB publishes a range of magazines for blind and partially sighted people of all ages, parents, carers and for the professionals who work with them - in areas such as healthcare, social services, rehabilitation and accessible design.

The UK’s leading magazine on access to the built environment, in private and public sectors.

Published jointly by the Access Association and the RNIB, this is the magazine with the best news, reviews and case studies in the field.

Features, product reviews, news pages, interviews, research and regular columns on the practical and legislative aspects of inclusive design.  

Each edition follows a theme, such as housing, transport or leisure activities, highlighting the debates, problems and potential solutions for that area. The practical features such as the fact sheets are valued for their clear and concise approach to technical problems.
