Depression Alliance is the leading UK charity for people with depression
We work to relieve and to prevent this treatable condition by providing information and support services to those who are affected by it via our publications, supporter services and network of self-help groups for people affected by depression. A user-focussed organisation, we have offices in England and a sister charity in Scotland.
Depression Alliance believes that the stigma and lack of accurate information surrounding depression continues to prevent people from seeking and finding appropriate and vital help when it is required. Early intervention and information are crucial in enabling those affected by depression to recover quickly and – critically – in preventing further episodes.
Informed by the experiences of people with depression and by research, we work extensively with government agencies and healthcare professionals to improve the service provision for those affected by depression. We also campaign to raise awareness amongst the general public about the realities of this severe and enduring illness by organising a variety of events and initiatives,
The Magazine
A Single Step - the quarterly membership and supporters magazine from Depression Alliance – was relaunched in April 2009.
The New Look magazine is published in a lively, colourful full-colour A4 format with content covering news, self-help, features and pieces that are written to provide assurance and assistance.
Current circulation is 2,000 copies, approximately 1,000 will are directly mailed to registered subscribers - members, carers and healthcare professionals – with a further 1,000 sent to clinics, GPs and those enquiring about the valuable work from Depression Alliance.
A Single Step - Directory advertising
We are looking to build upon a 'Directory' section at the rear of the magazine providing a valuable resource for those looking at therapy, counselling, psychotherapy and a whole range of complementing support charities.
'6x2' credit card sized adverts will be available, large enough to hold a logo, contact details, web address and approximately 20 words of text - all for just £125+VAT (if applicable) per issue or £480 for the year + VAT.
