The Charity
The Limbless Association provides information, advice and support for people of all ages who are without one or more limbs. It has a nationwide network of volunteer visitors (within the UK) who are all amputees themselves, offering support and encouragement to prospective amputees, carers and those trying to come to terms with limb loss or deficiency .
The Limbless Association promotes user consultation in the running of Artificial Limb Centres within the UK, and works in partnership with statutory, commercial, voluntary and other bodies to raise standards and develop policy.
The Magazine
The editorial focus of Step Forward is aimed on news, views, sports, events and up-to-date technology reviews directly relating to all members of the Limbless Association.
The publication is unique in its sector as it has 100% requested circulation of members, supporters and professionals, with an interest in limb loss
Step Forward is a quarterly magazine, distributed free to all members of the Limbless Association.
Step Forward enjoys a captive audience in excess of 10,000 readers each issue, and 2009 will see this figure increase dramatically due to a proactive membership drive.
